What parents say
Baby came at 38 weeks and we had a planned homebirth. My husband filled the pool up without the sterile liner so the midwife wouldn't let me get in it and by the time they had drained the pool to start again, the baby had arrived.
6 hours of labour from the first contraction, no tears, no drugs just breathing, a tens machine and a little gas and air. What an empowering experience for my first baby!
I'm still in contact with the other ladies who were on your course with us and we meet up for play dates with the babies. It's great ☺️
I really enjoyed your course, thank you.
Katie
Thank you for all of your wisdom and insights... the classes have been invaluable.
Charlotte
Cathie is wonderful and her course enabled us to connect with ourselves and our energies. Our aim in our journey was for calm, positivity and to be in tune with our baby and Cathie has been brilliant, helping us learn techniques for a natural birth. Than you so much!

Week 1: Building Confidence & Reducing Fear
We begin by looking at how fear, stress and anxiety can affect birth, and how to start gently changing that pattern. You’ll learn how your nervous system, hormones and mindset all influence labour, and why feeling safe, calm and supported can make such a difference.

How to reduce fear and build confidence
Reframing common worries about birth
Your first hypnosis practice
A breathing technique to begin calming your body
A practical tool to support relaxation at home
Week 2: Antenatal Preparation & Stage One of Labour
This week focuses on preparing your body, mind and environment for labour, with a particular focus on early and active labour. We look at what stage one of labour may feel like, how to support your body through contractions, and how to create the conditions that help labour unfold as smoothly as possible.
This week includes:
Understanding early labour and active labour
How contractions work
Creating your calm birth environment
Using movement and positions in labour
Birth partner support during stage one
Hypnosis practice
A new breathing technique for contractions
A practical comfort technique such as rebozo, massage or acupressure
Week 3: Birth Choices, Rights & Navigating the System
This session is all about helping you feel informed, confident and able to advocate for yourself. We cover your birth choices, informed consent, induction, interventions, monitoring, place of birth and how to have productive conversations with your care team without feeling like you need a law degree and a clipboard.
This week includes:
Understanding your birth rights
Informed consent and decision-making
Induction and common interventions
Monitoring options
Birth preferences and planning
How your birth partner can advocate for you
Hypnosis practice
A new breathing technique

Week 4: Stage Two of Labour, Birth & Meeting Your Baby
In the final week, we focus on the birth itself: the downward phase, pushing/breathing your baby down, birth positions, what happens as baby is born, and how to feel calm and prepared for meeting your baby. We also bring everything together so you leave with a clear, practical plan for using your tools during labour.
This week includes:
